Amico GPL tank Characteristics
- Metallic tank with vertical axis located inside a self-supported tin container in HDPE (double wall), anchored to a precast foundation;
- Double wall featuring a steady thickness that allows to :
- Oppose to the ground pushes and to the pressure deriving from the external layer;
- Prevent the chemical attacks and soil micro-organisms;
- Prevent the damages deriving from roots and rodents animals;
- Prevent water seepage from the external area into the air space;
- Prevent the LPG diffusion in the external area, in case of leaks deriving from the tank and/or from other safety devices and accessories;
- Allow the metallic tank inspection and any check relating to the absence of water and mist between tank and air space;
- Allow to pull-out the metallic tank in order to perform integrity checks every ten years. |
ANTICORROSIVE PROTECTION OF THE SHELL
“Amico Carburante” is the revolutionary polyethylene/steel double wall buried tank manufactured thanks to a
multiyear experience of Walter Tosto SpA. Anti corrosive system is fundamental for buried tanks, as they
cannot be easly examined.
“Amico Carburante” is covered and protected from corrosive agents, thanks to the external polyethylene
wrap.
ISOLATION FROM GALVANIC STREAM: “Amico Carburante” is characterized by the electric isolation,
thanks to polyethylene properties.
INSTALLATION PHASES GUARANTEES: “Amico Carburante” can be checked directly after installation,
thanks to its material.
ANTI CORROSIVE PROTECTION OF THE INTERNAL TANK: Another relevant aspect of this product is the
steel internal protection. This protection is made by means of painting the external wall. This manufacturing
phase is carried out by means of highly technical operations.
NEW POLYETHYLENE
This material features relevant characteristics, listed as follows:
• It is used by main major thanks to its anticorrosive properties;
• It is a greater elastic capacity;
• It is resistant to thermic ranges, in case of external stocking
ANTISPREADING MANHOLE: It is developed and designed in order to prevent any product leaks
INTERSPACE HOLDING: The connection between manhole and external wall is gauranteed by means of
welding operations that assure a perfect holding
DEPRESSION MONITORING SYSTEM: This system is used to monitor the depression and to detect any
possible leaks; this system is manufactured according to Italian D.M. 29/11/2002. Neither nitrogen or
glycolate are used.
MANHOLE EXTENTION: An extention may be placed near the antispreading extention, it is adjustable and
used to avoid rainwater penetration.
